Qazvin introduces screening stages at the city's entrances

Due to the prevalence of fingerprint registration systems, it is easier to transmit COVID-19 when registering fingerprints in companies and addresses.

Therefore, screening stations were launched at the entrances of cities with the help of the House of the People's participation. Fingerprint registration systems in offices and organizations were removed, and the disinfection of workspaces was made possible through the cooperation of the local municipality, and firefighters and taxi drivers.

The initiative targets the entirety of Qazvin’s community, and it was primarily funded by donors. Furthermore, it aimed to encourage the community’s participation to control the prevalence of COVID-19.

The success of this initiative was measured through the total number of people screened, and the total number of established screening stations.

In terms of post-initiative prospects, the new standards created through this initiative will be maintained by planning for joint activities in the future. The initiative yielded the following results:

  • Launch of 20 screening stations at the entrances of the city.
  • Daily screening of 200 to 400 people at each station.
  • 42786 total health screenings by health liaisons.
  • Dissemination of 68915 educational articles to health ambassadors and the public.
