Traveler's received extensive COVID-19 screening, in addition to important information pertinent to COVID-19.

Furthermore, hand sanitizers, gloves and masks were distributed to travellers. The initiative was particularly important because Al Qurayyat is a border city that sees a considerable number of travellers; therefore, it is important to ensure that they are well-informed about preventative measures.

Travellers arriving at/departing from Al Qurayyat airport were targeted, and the initiative also serves to protect the elderly, children, and chronic disease patients. The initiative was funded in-kind and lasted for eight days.

The initiative aimed to improving the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of travelers and airport workers about precautionary measures conerning COVID-19. This was achieved by:

  • Distributing hand sanitizers, gloves, and face masks.
  • Providing communications about proper hand washing and face mask use.
